WikiFit Valentine's Day Treats

I wanted our group to have this celebration not only because i thought it would be fun and because cooking is my passion. However, so everyone will be able to know that if you stick with healthier recipes—and less-frequent, reasonable portions—you can have your cake and eat it too! Sweets and treats aren’t off-limits if you’re aiming for a heart-healthy diet. You just have to choose carefully! That's exactly what we did! We had fun doing it! I am very PROUD of everyones creativity. It turned out better than I could of ever imagined. WIKIDIT KNOWS HOW TO PARTY! ! (★^O^★)

I wanna change!!

I have NO desire to stay the same!!! The question I had to ask myself today was... What are you going to do about it? A special someone asked me a question today. I am so grateful.  THANK YOU BREA. Why haven't you went back to the gym ???. Tears roll down my face as I write this... I pushed myself at the beginning of my knee injury and prolonged my healing. So I felt guilty!! Then I decided after the fact to be obedient  with my healing process as I engaged in Physical Therapy.  I set a personal goal to be finished by the end of month... even the end January and became discourage that I didn't get released. No one advised me against the gym in anyway. I was disscouraged going three days a week at pt while everyone else was using treadmills, doing Zumba and losing weight tremendously while I have limitations. Kinda like all or nothing.  Horrible I know. Not fun to crawl before you walk.  I am NOT SHARING for you to FEEL SORRY for me! I promised to blog my journey! I had to reach inside myself and ask who is is responsible for my healing. Is it my physical therapist or myself and the Lord!

Holding yourself accountable is nothing more than following through with YOUR commitments and responsibilities. It’s doing what YOU know YOU should do, when YOU should  do it.
This Scripture reminded me 1 Corinthians 9:27 ESV /

But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
So I'm not gonna talk about it. I'm gonna be about it! Actions speak louder than words. In the gym I will be because that is a personal goal I set for me! (: I am continuing to log my meals..gonna start using my pedometer and I am looking forward to us getting a buddy but keeping mindful that I have work to do individually! I am proud of all of you are taking the necessary steps to meet your personal transition to become more healthy. Have a blessed week and I hope to see you all Saturday!

Transition to be so Fresh and so clean in 2013

Posting my before/after pic as promised. I am doing this for our group and myself too. I want you ladies to know I struggle also. So for the next 60 days I am gonna share with you my journey. You will be able to see the difference between unhealthy meals vs. healthy meals (calories)  exercise vs. NO exercise..There will be good days and some not so good. I am holding onto our Scripture for the week to encourage me. Hebrews 12:11 New International Version (NIV) 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. 1. I am starting this challenge by logging my meals on myfinesspal which you will be able to see under MAMAOFNINE 2. I Will be eating my meals on a side salad plate. 3. I am on a 1200 calorie intake range 4. I am trying to eat a minimum of one new healthy recipe every/or ever other week. 5. Sunday dinner will be cheat day for me. Not going to allow this knee to discourage me. I can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST who STRENGTHENS ME. Love you WikiFit family. Have a blessed week! Don't forget to PRACTICE healthy habits constantly.

Having a place to go - is a home. Having someone to Love- is a family. Having both - is a blessing. ~Donna Hedges; In 2005 I married the love of my life Jake Jackson. He told me when he met me that he was going to marry me. I looked at him like I was crazy!! He is my best friend, and has been with me thru thick and thin, and keeps me grinning and has does a great job helping raise our 9 children. (: 3. Health- I sustained a medial colatteral ligiment sprain that helped me examine how we take even our -I am grateful for my true friends A true friend unbosoms freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues a friend unchangeably. ~William Penn 5. My Children- They have grown so fast before my eyes. Every time I think about it I want to cry... I love how intelligent they all are and they have unique personalities.. so many have advised me and John 1:4 NKJV I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. I love all of them unconditionally! 6. My Parents- I am so thankful for my parents for their unconditional love, endless patience and never ending knowledge. 7.> My Heavenly Father who is head over my life. Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me That's love 8. Distant loved ones -Though miles may lie between us, we're never far apart, for love doesn't count the miles, it's measured by the heart. 9.You don't choose your family. So Fresh and So Clean in 2013

Philippians 4:13 KJV

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
For those who weren't present at our last meeting... I advised publically that I am going to be doing a 60 day blog of my transition into a healthier me. Wikifit last year loss I would say approx 75+ lbs and this year our goal is 100. I myself loss 20+. However, a couple months ago I sustained a medial collateral ligament sprain and have allowed it to discourage me. And began emotional eating and gained some of my weight back. I haven't been allowed any physical activity outside of physical therapy three days a week. However, that is no excuse because I still can be making heathier eating choices. So I am making a choice as your co-leader I intend not just talk any talk but also walk the walk. I want to be accountable. On 1/12/13  I and those members interested will be taking a before pic. Once I reach my goal I will post before/after pic. I have old pics previously I could share... Also,  I will begin logging my meals 1/14/12 and will be sharing my journey with each and every one of you. Setting my 1st five goals- 1 drink plenty water, 2- Eat on side salad plate, 3-Regularly use my on the go blender 4- Track my meals, 5- No meals after 8. By February our goal is to have our buddies established..  My prayer:Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

"What Sunday Dinner Means to Me"

I cook Sunday dinner every week. This is a tradition that I pray that my family continues when I depart from this earth. I enjoy looking for recipes that I haven't prepared before. It is a time that I can take to teach my children how to cook and it's a time we can share each others company. I look forward to it each week to enjoy food family and fun.

Pride and Joys

Being a mother is one of the things that there is not a book on. There is parenting classes etc. that people take at time. If you are a parent you learn each child is different and each day brings it's own type of joys. Being a mom your relationship is like Jesus's relationship with us. The love is unconditional. I am blessed to have wonderful, and intelligent children. Don't get me wrong we have our days. But at the end of the day I wouldn't have it any other way!! I have shared my favorite picture with of each of my children with all of you. Problem one is missing Samonte..I love you too! Kobe is Spidey, Tink on the stares, Me & Donovan. Jakeara with her pretty smile and Jo'daizia with that hat striking a pose :-)
